Helena College offers a number of optional activities to Senior School students, including a wide variety of clubs and academic support sessions. Information on the programs will be made available on the Learning Management System.
In addition, Senior School students may opt to participate in our interschool sports programs, through the ACC, NEAS and IPSHA, amongst others. Students should keep an eye on the Daily Notices on our Learning Management System for the nomination process.
For those who love music, or who are (or wish to) learn an instrument, we invite you to consider enrolling in the Instrumental Music program. Find out more here (downloadable PDF).
The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award has been offered at Helena College for a number of years, and is ideal for students who wish to combine a love of new experiences with some adventure, learning and community service. Find out more here, or email the Helena College Program Officer.
During the course of the year, other opportunities will arise, either via selection, application or signing up, such as the Creative Writing Club, Debating, Futures Challenge, Titrations Competition, Robocup Junior, Wellbeing Club and many more. Students are encouraged to read the Notices on the Learning Management System to find what activities are on offer.
Helena College supplies a device for all students. In Years 7 to 12, all students will be provided with a school-owned laptop, which they will be able to take home. The fees for the College’s 1:1 device (laptop) program are incorporated into the annual tuition fee. Use of the device is governed by the Student Code of Conduct and the ICT Policy, both of which can be viewed on the Policy page of the website.
