Welcome to Helena College

Helena College is a non-religious, co-educational, independent school for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Helena College’s Vision is to be a school where students are inspired to be the best they can be, where they are encouraged to develop confidence, ability, and passion to achieve their goals; and to have the skills and commitment to leave a positive footprint on the world.

Our Mission is to educate and inspire students to be the best they can be by providing a balanced focus on whole child development. We aim to be a school where students, teachers and parents actively engage as partners in the educational process. We have high expectations of learning and achievement by offering creative, engaging, and challenging educational experiences in a nurturing environment.

At Helena College, we value:

  • Integrity and responsibility
  • Inclusivity and participation
  • Caring and compassion
  • Respect for self, other, and our surroundings

Students from Kindy to Year 5 attend our Junior School at the Darlington Campus, while our Glen Forrest Campus is for Middle School (Years 6-9) and Upper School (Years 10-12).

'Helena College's experienced, highly skilled educators at every level, who are committed to nurturing and challenging our students throughout their school years. Our approach is centred on the belief that young people are more likely to reach their full potential if there is a positive relationship between teachers, parents and students.'
— Peter Coombs, Principal

Acknowledgement of Country

In the spirit of reconciliation Helena College acknowledges the Whadjuk people of Noongar Boodjar and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present, their continuing culture, and the contribution they make to the region in which we work and live. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
