Parent Tools
As part of the College's ongoing commitment to improve communication with parents, we have reviewed and refined the array of tools available to school families. We've put together a summary of what the various tools are, and how parents can access them.
We do understand that parents and carers may have multiple usernames and passwords to manage. We are pleased to now offer the opportunity for parents and carers to use one set of login credentials which will allow you access to various portals, including:
- Schoolbox
- Orbit
- Parent Lounge
- RollCall
This account will also allow parents and carers to login using one of the following identity providers: Google, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook, provided the email registered with the provider matches with the email registered with the College.If parents and carers do not have one of the identity providers listed, they will be able to utilise the school-provided username and password to log into these systems. Schoolbox
Helena College introduced Schoolbox as the new Student Information System in 2025. The move to Schoolbox is intended to enhance the experience for students, parents, and teachers. The platform offers a more user-friendly interface, particularly on mobile devices, and will allow easier access to important information, including:
Information from teachers and the College - Curriculum plans
- Assessment calendars
- Feedback from teachers on assessments
The Parent Lounge is convenient facility designed for parents to independently input emergency contact details and their child's vital health and medical requirements. You can also easily update your family's contact information and address without the hassle of handling multiple paper forms. Keeping this information current ensures that we can offer the best care for your child while they are on campus or participating in off-campus school activities. Another feature of the Parent Lounge is the ability to access your Fee Statements at any time and establish a payment plan that suits your needs.
Throughout the school year, we will periodically send reminders to parents, particularly in the lead-up to school camps, to verify their child's information.
An additional feature of the Parent Lounge is the Parent Directory, which is intended to be a beneficial way to help families keep in touch with each other, connect new and existing families, for for those with younger children, organise activities such as playdates.
The ParentOrbit App is a new mobile app for parents and carers interact with the College such as submit absences, view calendars and much more. The ParentOrbit App is another way for parents to access Parent Lounge. It can be used to perform actions like submit absences, view school calendars, update personal information, and much more.
The ParentOrbit App can be found on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Once installed, follow the prompts to enter the school code to get started. For more information, or to obtain the school code, please email xxx
Families who utilise the Helena College bus services are required to download the RollCall app to manage their child's planned journeys. This includes selection which bus routes they will use, allocating a pick-up and drop-off location, and management of bus use charges. An important feature is the real-time tracking of the bus journey once your child taps on (using their school-provided Smartrider card) until they tap off.
