2023 ATAR Results Released
Helena College students achieved remarkable success in the 2023 Year 12 Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) examinations, showcasing the diverse pathways available at the College. Students can pursue an ATAR pathway or a General pathway to complete their WACE, with many choosing a combination of courses from both pathways. No matter the avenue chosen, a Helena College education provides a terrific starting point for life beyond school.
What students gain at Helena goes beyond a great ATAR score or a solid foundation for entry into the workplace, TAFE, or an apprenticeship. The values that our graduates demonstrate - care, respect, compassion, integrity, and responsibility - are just as vital for their future success.
With this ethos in mind, the Helena College takes the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate graduating Year 12 students through various farewell events, including the annual Graduation Evening in October. These occasions allow the college to extend best wishes for their future endeavours and express gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the community.
We are pleased to confirm that 96% of Year 12 students from the graduating class of 2023 successfully obtained their Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). These young people are to be congratulated for navigating a demanding and rigorous Year 12 program.
Thirty-six students completed an ATAR program, with one-third achieving an ATAR of 90 or above. The median ATAR for the College was 85.23, an increase on the median ATAR achieved in 2022. Over 75% of students achieved an ATAR over 70, which is required for direct entry into universities in WA.
Five students (14%) achieved an ATAR of 95 or above, placing them in the top 5% in the state. One-third of students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them in the top 10% of the state. One student achieved an outstanding result of 99.50.
Congratulations to all our graduates!
