I’m sure you’ll agree that each of these experiences offers outstanding opportunities for student learning and development. As we move toward the end of the term, I would like to sincerely thank all the staff members and volunteers who have given their time and talents to facilitate and support these activities. Without their efforts, these opportunities would not be possible.
With parent involvement being a key component of our College mission, I hope that many parents are planning to attend the Parent-Teacher Interviews for Kindy to Year 10 on Friday 2 May. The Years 11–12 conferences, held during Week Nine, were very well attended. A reminder that students from K to 10 are not required to attend school on that day; however, Year 6 to 10 students are strongly encouraged to attend their interviews alongside their parents. For Year 11 and 12 students, it will be a normal school day. Please see recent emails from the College regarding appointment bookings.
As is often the case, we will have some staffing changes at the end of the term. In Year 1, we are excited to welcome back Mrs Pippa Barnard, who will be returning after taking leave in Term One. A big thank you to Mrs Warrener for her excellent work teaching Year 1 in Mrs Barnard’s absence. In the Senior School, Mr Meer, who joined us at the start of the year, will be moving on to a new position. We look forward to welcoming Mrs Rachel Ball, a very experienced English teacher, who will join us at the start of Term Two. In the Science Department, Mrs Davy will be taking leave for Term Two, and we are currently in the process of appointing her replacement.
Thank you once again to all parents and carers for your ongoing support of the College. We deeply appreciate the trust you place in us to educate your children each day.
Regards
Peter Coombs | Principal
